Anionye Eka-Iloma is a lawyer by profession. He joined Platform Petroleum Limited on the 1st of February 2006 as a Government/Public Affairs Officer. It was in that capacity that he headed the Government/Community Affairs Department of Platform Petroleum Limited from 2006 to 2013. During the period, he interfaced with the host communities, and national and sub-national governments in Nigeria, which saw to the smooth relationship between the company and third-party stakeholders. He superintended all the acquisition of Platform Petroleum Limited’s Oil Pipeline Right of Way. He was a member of the Divestment Team of SPDC/SEPLAT (as seconded to Seplat) during Seplat’s acquisition of OMLs 4, 38, and 41 from SPDC. He drove the processes for the execution of various Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between Platform and her host communities. In 2010, he drove the negotiation that produced the first edition MoU between Seplat Petroleum Development Company and its Host Communities in Edo and Delta States, Nigeria. In 2013, he was promoted to Senior Legal Officer. In 2017, he became the Acting Manager: Legal. In 2018, he was confirmed the substantive Manager: Legal. He is presently a member of the Leadership Team of Platform Petroleum Limited. He holds LL. B (Hons) degree and Master in Law & Diplomacy degree from Delta State University. He holds his Barrister at Law (professional certificate) from Nigerian Law School. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in October, 2004 as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has attended many national and international trainings on Law and Leadership in Nigeria, Dubai, Italy, and Singapore. He is married and the marriage is blessed with three children.
