HSE Executive Summary
Platform Petroleum Limited as a leading indigenous oil and gas producing Company is dedicated to and cares for the health and safety of its employees, assets and the protection of the environment where we operate.

Our priority is to create a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, Contractors and the public through an HSE policy that is based on a commitment to:
  • Pursue the goal of ‘ZERO’ harm to people and the environment,
  • Conduct our business with integrity and accountability,
  • Comply with laws and regulations applicable to our business and
  • Develop and maintain good relationship and reputation with host communities and other stakeholders.
In order to achieve the above objectives, we have designed an HSE-MS that:
  • Assists both Management and non supervisory employees in identifying, assess, control and recover from any unusual incidence.
  • Encourage all employees to promote the safety of their colleagues, company's assets and the environment.
  • Disseminate HSE information to all our personnel and Contractors.
  • Set targets for improvement and measure, appraises and report performance.
  • Includes HSE performance in the appraisal of all staff and reward accordingly.
The management Team shows Leadership and commitment in all HSE issues as part of their responsibilities which includes but NOT limited to:
  • Co-ordinating the development, implementation and ensure compliance with all HSE Policies, guidelines and statutory rules and regulations.
  • Organize HSE meetings at regular intervals and communicate HSE learning points.
  • Mapping out guidelines for HSE activities at worksites and developing in -  house standards, trainings and operational procedure for safe engineering work practice.
Platform Petroleum operates a strict Health, Safety and Environmental protection policy, the details of which are spelt out in the corporate HSE Manual.
